Before you proceed with sign up please note the following important points:

Safeguarding is our priority because sessions are only delivered in schools during term time. All volunteers must comply with our safeguarding process.

By continuing to apply you agree:

• To have an enhanced DBS check which is registered to the CRB update service (a £15 donation is requested to cover the 3^rd party fee for new applications. CRB update registration is free for volunteers)
• That you are not prohibited from working with children for any reason
• To engage with the positive disclosure process as laid out in our DBS policy  should this be relevant
• To conduct yourself in accordance with our Safe Adults and safeguarding policy at all times while acting on behalf of Little LifeSavers charity
• To sign our Volunteer Agreement document that covers all of the above requirements.

Your Data:

We collect and store your data so we can deliver the aims and work of the charity. Your data is shared with essential parties so that we can:

Have your volunteer tee shirt and ID card printed and sent

Offer sessions geographically relevant to you

Comply with individual school safeguarding requirements

Liaise with you regarding important charity information

Keep you updated with charity policy an other important updates

Comply with the legal requirements to submit annual financial accounts

Ensure relevant volunteers can communicate with you for sessions, fundraising events etc.

 

Pioneer Volunteers

If you are the first volunteer to register with us in your local area you agree to actively assisting with recruiting additional volunteers so you can teach. We support our pioneers but it requires your engagement to succeed

General Points

Volunteers are expected to be able to travel to sessions they agree to deliver

Volunteers need to be able to physically kneel on the floor to demonstrate CPR to students and be mobile enough to move to assist students with correct technique
